Threaded Earrings – Candies and Pearls

Pearls:

I made these as a Christmas gift.

Quite some time ago I bought a bulk box of beads and in it I got a small pack of real genuine pearls. I was waiting for the perfect project to use them for and this just happened to be it!

I used tiny, clear seed beads, glass blue beads as well as the real pearls. The earrings measure 5cm long.

I love the blue beads that I used because they aren't exactly 100% round, they're flattish. I loved doing this project and they remind me of snowflakes due to the colours used.

Pattern can be found on My Amari for free! She actually has pretty amazing patterns!!!

 

Candies:

One day I was in the mood to thread something in the star shape but couldn't find any patterns so decided to conjure up something on my own!

I love how delicate and tiny these are and they are only 2cm long.

I used tiny, pink seed beads and then these awesome turquoise beads I found.

For these I used faux metallic blue pearls, clear oil slick beads (the inner side of the bead has the oil slick appearance) and clear seed beads for the frame of the star.

Feather Dream Catcher Earrings

I recently had to make custom dream catcher earrings for a client. She wanted bright and funky, something that was definitely going to stand out.

For both dream catchers I used crochet cotton (in black and purple as stated) and then I just used the colours that she wanted for the feathers.

These were actually a blast to do because I'm so used to doing muted things whereas these make a bold statement. Loved making them and think they're stunning.

 

If you're interested in a pair like this, it is R100 with track and trace postage. Dream catcher colour depends on what's available but sky is the limit for the feather colours.

Pairs of Pink Earrings

I was very lucky to receive a massive packet of beads straight from America from @parastar for my birthday.

My sister in law was down for a holiday and I knew that I was itching to make her something with my new beads.

The earrings I made for Louise.

These are the earrings I designed for Louise. They are very simple and elegant and that's why I like them. I used clear ball beads as well as pink seed beads and pink tube beads. The other colour seed beads are a purple colour but what I LOVE about them is that they're not polished smooth, they are matte and they rock!!

 

This is another pair of earrings that I made for myself.

 

The flower beads at the bottom I've had for a really long time but never figured out how to use them and what to use them for. They remind me of carnation flowers.

I them found an old pair of earrings of mine that is designed with buttons and one-holed beads and then knew exactly what I wanted to make myself.

I used the clear beads I used above as well as the pink and matte purple seed beads, then I used a clear, glass, purple bead as well.

I absolutely ADORE these earrings :D

The bracelet

This is just a simple, adjustable hemp bracelet with some rocking beads on it!!!

The glass leaf bead in the center is a dark blue and is the centerpiece for the creation. I used two different purple seed beads, silver rose beads, clear biconial beads, big blue ball beads, black ball beads and wooden purple beads. The hemp is white.

For the earrings I used gorgeous, whimsical lilac feathers, black seed beads, metallic purple seed beads, blue seed beads, a clear biconial bead and 2 black ball beads.

I absolutely ADORE these earrings!!!

The bookmark is also such a stunner.

I used dark purple hemp for the piece.

For the top I used black, ball beads, purple seed beads, 2 silver rose beads and hung two silver leaf charms from that.

For the bottom I used purple seed beads, black biconial beads, blue seed beads, blue ball beads, black ball beads and silver rose beads.

 

I think all three are my favourite. I adore the colours and how well they work together.

First Threaded Earrings to go out of SA

How exciting was this project to do? INDESCRIBABLE!!!

@SkiewiesNam ordered a pair of threaded earrings. She wanted something long but elegant, and she lives in NAMIBIA! So she'll be the FIRST woman OUTSIDE OF SOUTH AFRICA to own something I made. I can't describe how that feels. It is surreal really!!!

I'm adding two photos because the first one is a bit bright and you can't entirely see the beads nicely, whereas in the second one the look a bit droopy.

Anyway, I used clear/silver inner seed beads, clear biconial beads and then clear-black beads. I can't tell you how much I adore these earrings. They are just SO COOL!!!

I'm really into threading at the moment and am also currently busy with an earrings and bracelet set for a bride. I can't wait to show you that. Currently busy finishing the bracelet, which would've been finished yesterday but I made a mistake so have to redo them now. The earrings are complete though.

New Creations

 The plain beanies WITH their ties

I decided to actually put the ties on the beanies yesterday. Well I had to because I was going to go to do the stall today but postponed due to the weather. The long weekend has just begun anyways.

I added black and white ties to the black/white beanie and silver/grey and black ties to the black/grey beanie. There are 2 of each of this design so 2 have loose braid and the other 2 have thinner, tighter braids.

Red chain necklace

I wanted to make a similar necklace to the green chain necklace and so decided to do it in red which I think rocks. I used metallic red beads and clear biconial beads with chain and a toggle clasp.

For these crochet necklaces I used crochet cotton in purple and black.

For the black necklace I used pale blue and metallic grey faux pearls. For the purple one I used purple crochet cotton which is a bit paler than depicted in the photo. I used pale purple and clear biconial beads.

 Earrings I just changed

I just changed these by taking off the beaded link and keeping them more plain. Just think it looks MUCH better.

I adore these dream catcher earrings! How much do they ROCK?!!!

I used blue and white crochet cotton for them and complimentary feather.

They take ages to do but they really were a massive achievement! I love how them look and I think they rock!!

The original pattern is from: Original pattern from Free-Crochet but I have changed the pattern quite a lot but thats where my inspiration comes from :)

Some Valentine's Day Pieces

There are ONLY FIVE of these key chains available but you can take the hearts in any different colour (white/black). These are R63 each.

I used red seed beads, rose silver beads, clear beads, silver ball beads and red biconial beads.

This is a ONE-OF-A-KIND pair of earrings. There is NO other piece like it. This pair would go for R80 but for Valentine's day there are only R70.

I used different red beads with clear/metallic seed beads.

Pieces for an Author - Feathers and Leaves

 For this pair I used purple feathers; pearly white seed beads, purple, light blue clear and light blue seed beads.

 For this pair I used black feathers; black seed beads, metallic purple beads, small gold "flowers" and a black wheel bead.

For this pair I used light blue feathers; silvery seed beads, light blue beads, blue glitter beads, pale purple seed beads and purple beads.

This is my favourite of the three because the colours are so delicate and light.

Generally I dislike working with feathers because they're SO delicate that I'm always afraid I'll tear them but I am very proud of these 3 pairs of earrings! They are STUNNING!!
