Zombie Hello Kitty

I haven't been making very much cuties these days because I still have 2 mini bunnies, 4 normal sized bunnies, a hedgehog, fox, bear and grape monster looking for homes. I'm thinking of relisting them on Bid or Buy today. Anyway so I saw this pattern for free HERE and figured that I'd give it a try.

Hello Kitty Zombie

The zombie Hello Kitty is BORN mwhohahaha!! I made some slight adjustments to the pattern but nothing very major. What do you think of her? I especially love her bone arm!!!

She is probably the biggest cutie I have ever made and sits 11cm and is about 8cm wide (her head).

Below are some close ups.

Hello Kitty Zombie Hello Kitty Zombie

See a bit of her skull peeking out there by the left ear? It's so awesome!

I tried her out with a safety eye and a cross eye but it didn't look too good so I went with a crocheted eye.

If you're interested in her, she is R130 with postage nationwide and if you're interested in any of the other cuties for sale, pop me an email at beadiecreations at gmail dot com or send me a message on the Facebook page !! :)

Straight to the Point Beanies

Now for the most part I don't get in many plain beanie orders so this was a simple but to the point order that I enjoyed spending a weekend doing.

Plain beanie Just a simple, snug, warm and black beanie that I made. I used 100% wool for this and did it in single crochet stitch which actually took me the longest to make. You'd never say but apparently single crochet stitch does take a really long time hehe!!!!

Ear flap beanie DSCF9755 600x800

Another simple black, ear flap beanie with a HOT PINK border and braids. I'm really into fish braiding the braids for beanies when there's two colours involved. It looks so awesome!!!

If you're interested in any beanies, feel free to email me beadiecreations at gmail dot com or message me on the Facebook page !! :)

Custom Made Invader Zim Beanie

You know with each custom beanie that I make, I feel more proud of what I made. I ADORE this Invader Zim beanie! It's just stunning! Here are the photos!

DSCF9676 front beanie

WELCOME TO THE WORLD INVADER ZIM!!!! This is the front of the beanie as you can see.

I used a lime green colour for the base of this beanie. It apparently was hard to photograph and I didn't even really realise. The colour is very vibrant in real life.

DSCF9678 full side beanie

Here you can see the whole beanie with its braids. I made the braids a bit chunkier and in a fish plait style just to be different and unique.

DSCF9675 side of beanie

A close up of the side of the beanie so you can see the tongue and eyes. That tongue gave me nightmares but I eventually got it right and I'm so chuffed with it because it's just too cute!!

   DSCF9679 braids

And here is the fish plait braids. Don't they look bloody AWESOME! I love how I did the braids and I LOVE how the green is more vibrant against the black. My favourite part of this beanie is these awesome braids.

DSCF9681 flat beanie And this is just what the beanie looks like flat. The ears aren't stuffed but they hold up straight pretty well. The beanie has a little bit of extra length to it as that was requested by the client.

Custom made Boba Fett beanie

I made this beanie BEFORE the R2D2 beanie but I entirely forgot to blog about it! Epic fail hey!

Boba Fett beanieBoba Fett beanie

Here is the front and back of the Boba Fett beanie. It looks a bit skew as it is balancing on top of TWO wine glasses for the height and I apparently never put the top wine glass on straight as I had thought.

The front is made in two parts – the T and then the red piece around it. The back is just one single T and then I made tiny T's out of felt and glued that on to the back.

Boba Fett beanie  Boba Fett beanie

Here are the two sides of the beanie.

On the right side is a sewn on yellow strip and then I made the aerial piece out of felt and glued that on.

On the left side is a sewn on green strip with just a few extras of felt that I also glued on.

This is what the top of the beanie looks like. I used chunky wool for the red pieces so it stands out nicely and the yellow tabs I cut out of felt and glued on.

And here is a close up of the aerial part. It took me forever to work it out but I'm very proud of how it and how the WHOLE beanie came out!!! It was worth all the long time it took!

Custom R2D2 Beanie

I had another custom order but this time for a R2D2 beanie. My custom orders I actually work off of a picture of what the client has seen and wants so it takes me a little bit longer but this R2D2 one wasn't very difficult to do at all.

What the beanie looks like lying flat.

These are custom extras that I made and attached to the inside of the ear flaps.

Because the beanie is made in double crochet stitch, I had to make a small square using the same colour, then sew on the extras to that square AND THEN sew it onto the inside of the beanie.

DSCF9504 front R2D2 beanie DSCF9505 side of R2D2 beanie

The front and sides of the beanie. I think it looks pretty awesome! I love the front of the beanie and all the separate blue square on the beanie. The front blue square I made apart and sewed on after the beanie was complete.

DSCF9514 top of R2D2 beanie

The top of the beanie. I started out using the royal blue and then moved onto the main colour of R2D2 called snomoon. I changed colours as needed to make the top squares. I think changing colour is my new favourite thing to do in crocheting lol!!!

Well what do you think of R2D2?! Cool hey! So proud of it and cannot wait for my client to receive it. If you have a picture of a beanie you ADORE on Pinterest, well then get hold of me and let me make it for you ;)

Before I start this post off, I want to let you know about the Cutie Creations that I still have for sale:

cutie creations 02

And now on to the little hedgehog:

DSCF9414 edt DSCF9413 edt

How ADORABLE is this little hedgehog?

He does actually have four little feet but only two show up in the photographs.

I used silver wool for his face and feet. For his body, I used chunky angel wool. He only measures about 7cm tall.

If you're interested in a little hedgehog like this, feel free to email me beadiecreations@gmail.com or message me on the facebook page !!!

Custom Owl beanie

I love doing custom orders. It's so much fun to make someone's vision. It may take you a bit longer but the end product always looks awesome. I had to do a floppy, chunky owl beanie and this is what I made:

Gillian's Owl beanie

This is how the beanie looks not on. I made it with chunky Aran wool in creamicrop. I used orange for the beak and flower, and I used silver and purple for the eyes, ears, beanie border and ties.

Gillian's Owl beanie Gillian's Owl beanie

Here is a close up of the eyes and beak (left) and a close up of the flower.

I sewed only the center of the flower so the petals aren't sewed on. I added a little heart button on the flower and some pearly buttons for the eyes.

Gillian's Owl beanie Gillian's Owl beanie

This is what the beanie looks like on. The top bit has a lot of space to make it floppy so it depends on you how you'd like to wear it. The ties I left SUPER long so that if the client wanted to shorten them, she could undo the knot and shorten it :D

Custom Bender Beanie

Most of the time I am pretty used to people requesting their own thing or images of something they want made. It is nothing unusual to me. I like making custom pieces because I feel in today's society we should embrace what we like!

I don't make too many beanies and those I do make, except the owl ones are pretty simple and easy to make so when I got this order, I was pretty excited. It was definitely something I had never made before. Let me introduce you to Igy's Bender beanie that he wanted for his best friend (lucky friend I say):

Bender Beanie

Here is the beanie. I think I am going to need to get hold of a mannequin head somewhere seeing as Igy wants me to do some more beanies for him ;)

It took me a few days to work out the pattern for the beanie itself because I didn't have a pattern for a single crochet beanie. The rest was pretty easy to do.

Bender Beanie   Bender Beanie

Here is close ups of the eyes and the stuffed antenna so that it always stays stiff.

I cannot tell you how much fun it was to make this beanie, even though it actually took me some time to do. I'm very proud of this Bender! I'm even more happy that the client loved it :D

New Crochet Critters

I had some time on my hands some time ago and I decided to make some amigurumi critters because I love making amis. You can blame Shannen for this :D

Filly the Fox Filly the Fox

This is a little fox that I made from Shannen/Sweet n Cute Creations' pattern. It was the first unbunny critter that I had made and I loved how it came out. I'm so very proud of it.

I made it with bright orange wool, his patches is made of black wool, his nose and tail is made with white wool. Doesn't he just look amazing with his safety eyes?!

Bluey the bear Bluey the bear

This is a pattern I made up myself from all the experience I had with making this bunnies and now the above fox. It is a little blue bear.

I made his with deep, dark blue wool; his patches is made with black wool, as well as his nose. I'm proud because I conjured this up myself. It took me a few days too. I don't know how Shannen does it!!

Both of these designs are for sale so if you're interested in a little bear or fox, feel free to email me or leave a comment. You can also like the Facebook Page!!

The Craft Shop Closes, Bunnies need Homes

A while ago I posted about having some of my bunnies stocked at a local craft shop in town – The post is HERE if you want to read it. The sad news is that this shop has closed down due to sudden lack of interest from the town and so I got all my bunnies back.

I decided to revamp the bunnies by giving them safety eyes and they ALL are looking for LOVING homes to go to, so if you are interested then leave me a comment, pop me an email or message me on the Facebook Page!!!

Mini Bunnies – R100 each:

A little yellow and peach mini bunnies (left) and a pastel pink bunny with neon pink feet patches (right). They both measure 12cm while sitting.

When I was revamping these two mini ones, I decided to not give them any eye patches and I quite like that they don't have any.

Normal Sized Bunnies – R110 each

Lauren's Bunnies – the First bunnies with Safety eyes

Gosh was I SO excited when Lauren contacted me wanting some bunnies because they'd be the FIRST bunnies to have safety eyes! I couldn't wait to get started and here they are:

Lauren's order - red and black bunny

Lauren's order - red and black bunny

Here is the red bunny. She has little red feet patches and then I made black eye patches as well.

Lauren's order - black and red bunnyLauren's order - black and red bunny

I really hate working with black wool because it's such a difficult colour to see what you're doing but it ALWAYS makes the best creations!! This is the ninja black bunny with his little red belt on and red feet patches. He has brown eye patches. He is just too cute!

Lauren's order - orange and red bunnyLauren's order - orange and red bunny

This one has the cutest face to me. He has red feet patches and then antique brown eye patches.

What do you think of them with their safety eyes? They are STUNNING aren't they! As you can see I haven't changed much to the design, I have just added the safety eyes. The bunnies still get their eye patches :)

Lauren's order - all four creations

Here is Lauren's whole order. She also decided to take home little Wortel because she was absolutely smitten over him so Miss Grape is all alone now if anyone is interested in taking that cutey pie home ;)

I also have made a little fox and teddy bear so I will update the blog with photos of those two stunners this week some time!
