Commissioned Crochet Gloves

I don't always know how I come across such talented people to be honest. I spend a lot of time on Pinterest, just browsing goodies so probably mostly from there.

@PluckyLuke asked me if I could make @pixelslave some fingerless gloves so I got into Pinterest looking for pics that inspired me and I came across this pattern by @juliavaconsin and I feel instantly in love with her gloves. I had to try make myself a pair!! I did! Then I got into emailing her to ask if I may sell what I make from the pattern before even considering making to sell.

This is something incredibly important to me (asking the creators permission to sell what I make from their pattern) because it's their amazing pattern in the first place and they should get credit. Julia gave me the go ahead!!

The most rocking thing for me, is how awesomely cool these crafters are. They're so friendly and nice to talk to!

Fingerless gloves Gloves I made for myself from Julia's pattern.

Since making these I have redone it to make them shorter on my arms so I can tuck them under/into my hoodie sleeves.

juliasgloves Julia's ROCKING gloves! How awesome is the wool in the pic on the right!!

The only difference between my gloves and one's you'd make from Julia's pattern is that:

1. it is shorter (I did 5 rounds instead of 10 although in MY above photo I have done the 10 rounds), 2. I used a 4mm needle as I don't have a 5mm needle, and 3. I didn't do the thumb part of the pattern.

I cannot give enough praise to Julia because she is incredibly talented. She knits, crochets and sews! TRIPLE THREAT MAN lol! She has also had numerous of her work actually published. She is without  a doubt in my eyes, talented!! And I'm very grateful that she did give me permission to sell gloves.

THE GLOVES I WAS COMMISSIONED TO MAKE FOR TRACEY AND VIBEKE:

Tracey's gloves

Tracey's gloves – fluffy white with little cupcakes

Vibeke's gloves  Vibeke's gloves – gunmetal grey with stars

The gloves don't take very long to make actually and neither do the little embellishments. What rocks about the pattern is that I don't sew the gloves. They're made in rounds so it's all done for me :D love it!!

What takes me forever is sewing on the embellishments actually because I'm very finicky.

I can't decide which of the two I actually like more because they're both so cute I think!! I can't wait for these 2 ladies to receive them!!! I just love them! I'm thinking of adding little bows to mine because I do love my bows hehe!
