Threaded Bracelets

You know I never actually know whether to call this type of beading threading or weaving because technically I use a needle and this type of thread that's clear but looks nearly like fishing line. It's used for threading though.

Anyways let me show you the yummy bracelets I've made but forgot to upload yesterday!

RUSSIAN SNAKE BRACELETS:

Threaded bracelets - russian snake in red, clear and matte brown

Threaded bracelets - russian snake in red, clear and matte brownFor this bracelet I used matte brown seed beads as well as clear silver seed beads. The beads in the middle of the two colour are red beads I've had for years but never used.

I love the effect the matte seed beads give to this bracelet. It's vampy.

Threaded bracelets - russian snake in glass blue, oil slick blue and clearThreaded bracelets - russian snake in glass blue, oil slick blue and clearThis was a custom order for a wedding that I used oil slick blue and clear seed beads. The beads in between the two colours are these clear glass beads with splashes of blue and pink or blue and green on them. @parastar got them for me for my birthday last year! I love how this one sparkles.

PURPLE HAZE VARIATION 1:

Threaded bracelets - purple haze in blue, clear and black

Threaded bracelets - purple haze in blue, clear and blackThe pattern for this bracelet is called "Purple Haze" and I got the pattern from Around The Beading Table but this is my own variation of the pattern, using my own colours.

I used clear diamond beads with 2 black beads for the center of the wrist and then the blue oil slick beads.

PURPLE HAZE VARIATION 2:

Threaded bracelets - purple haze using seed beads

Threaded bracelets - purple haze using seed beadsHere I followed the "Purple Haze" pattern but entirely used silver seed beads for it and for the corners of the wrist used pearly, white seed beads.

I made it's own toggle clasp from a pattern I found on My Amari using the same silver seed beads.

Threaded bracelets - purple haze using seed beadsIt took me ages to do but I love the feel of this bracelet and how delicate it looks. It's subtle but still stands out! Thinking about it, this design would make a stunning CHOKER as well!

Crocheted Necklace and Bracelet

Marietjie's Order: Necklace and bracelet

A purple beaded crochet necklace and a green beaded crochet bracelet, both with toggle clasps.

Marietjie's Order: Bracelet in greenMarietjie's Order: Close up of the bracelet beads

The green beaded crochet bracelet.

I used for the center piece a lime green bead, lime green seed beads and clear seed beads. For the rest of the dangles i used metallic green seed beads, green faux pearls and clear seed beads.

Marietjie's Order: Necklace in purple Marietjie's Order: Close up of the necklace beads

For the necklace I used flat, clear purple beads, metallic purple seed beads and clear seed beads.

I've gotten into crocheting lately and I've often been wondering how cool it would be to crochet jewelry. I was scouring the internet one day and found a picture of a necklace like this on craftbits so I decided to try and duplicate it. I posted a picture on twitter and this client said she wanted one, AS WELL AS  a bracelet. I modified the pattern a bit and made the bracelet as well.

What is super cool about this pattern is that someone who is allergic to metal can wear it because if you don't add the toggle clasps like I did, you can add a button because the pattern makes provision for a button hole (you just then sew a button on the opposite end.)

Thanks @marieks12 for the support and giving me the opportunity to make such amazing pieces for you.

Random Bracelets I've been making

Silver and yellow/gold beaded bracelet: Silver ball beads, big circular silver beads, yellow/gold beads
This is a very random bracelet but I love it because it is so different.
I used yellow/gold beads, silver ball beads, 2 big silver beads (The one has a design on it and the other one is silver on one side and black on the other) and then these unusual link beads.
Silver, blue bell bracelet: blue glass beads, silver ball beads, irregular shaped links, bells, clear with blue inner seed beads
This bracelet I absolutely adore and makes me feel as if I'm in Bollywood with all the bells.
I used blue glass beads which are kind of flattish but have gold flakes in them, a silver tube bead, silver ball beads, irregular shaped links and then to keep the links together I used a bigger link from which two silver bells hang. To close those links I used a clear seed bead that has a blue inner.
Pink ribbon bracelet: pink ribbon, clear biconial beads. Pink ribbon bracelet: pink ribbon, clear biconial beads.
This is an immensely elegant bracelet. They are very similar to a previous post I did (The ribbon chokers for a friend).
I used neon pink ribbon and clear biconial beads. That's it!
This is obviously my favourite of the three because it is pink and I did make this piece for myself.
