Last week I made a little carrot monster. I guess he's called a carrot monsters because he is orange and has green spikes… quite carrot like I'd say. I wanted to make something orange and that's why I decided on this. The pattern belongs to Shannen/Sweet n Cute Creations.
This orange is EXTREMELY difficult to photograph because it's quite a bright orange. This is what he looks like. He measures only approximately 10cm high and he has orange safety eyes as well. I think he's so cute, and I've named him Wortel which is Afrikaans for Carrot.
I used bright orange wool and grass green wool for his spikes.
Here are photos of him from the side and you can see his 4 little spikes.
And a photo of his face close up!
They can really be made with any colour actually if you weren't a fan of orange.
A client contacted me wanting a little owl so yesterday I made one for her. It must have been the longest I've ever spent on an Amigurumi because his tummy took a really long time. I've always had Shannen's owl pattern but I've never made it so I'm glad I got the opportunity to make the owl finally.
Here is the little owl. I come to name her Minnie because she is so small and tiny. She measures approximately 7cm high.
I used silver grey wool for his head and deep purple wool for his eyes and bits on his ears. His wings and tummy are made from this fluffy white wool that I had. You can't see it's fluffy though. He is sporting brown safety eyes. I absolutely ADORE using safety eyes, they really do make the creation come alive!!
Here is a close up of his face and you can really see how adorable he is. Too cute hey.
If you're interested in ordering any ami from me, feel free to contact me.
And check out Shannen's blog. This girl is insanely talented! I'm always so honoured to make something from her pattern and have my ami come out cute as well! She has many free patterns and you can also buy patterns from her. They are easy to follow and a hoot to make!
